Terms and Conditions

Complimentary Initial Consultation: One of the owners or a branch manager will come to your home to get acquainted with you and your pet(s). If you would like to meet the primary pet care professional who will be caring for your pet, there will be a $20 charge to bring them along with us to your consultation. Any additional consultations required by client thereafter, are $20. New clients must schedule a minimum of three visits in order to qualify for a complimentary consultation. Consultations are done Monday - Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., excluding holidays.

Keys: For dog walking services, it is preferred that we are given key-less entry to your home through either a garage door or electronic pad lock entry, if possible. Please note: If garage entry is given, a key to the door leading into the home, from the garage, must be provided for us to keep at our office in the case of accidental lockout. If neither of these options are available, please have two sets of keys ready. The 2nd set of keys will always remain at the office, in the case of an emergency.

For vacation pet sitting services, please have two sets of keys ready, at the time of the consultation. At the beginning of your pet sitting series, if you have scheduled three pet care visits per day, we will place a secured lock box on your front door with one of the keys you provided us. This lessens the handling of your keys as a result of the multiple visits scheduled and always allows us to have the 2nd key at the main office in the case of an emergency. Pet siting services with only one or two scheduled visits per day will likely not require a lockbox. On your last day of service, we will remove the lock box, and both of your keys will remain at our office until your next service request or until you pick up your keys from our office.

Our lock boxes are available for purchase. If you would like to purchase a lock box, the fee is $20.

Key Pick Up and Drop Off: We charge $15 each time we need to drop off and pick up a clients key. Alternatively, clients are welcome to pick up and drop off keys from our drop box location, at their convenience.

Forms Required: Each new client is required to fill out a Client Service Agreement and a Veterinary Release Form. These forms must be completed and in our possession, prior to the start of service.

Folders for Dog Walking Clients: All dog walking clients will receive a folder with Dog Walking Notes on their first scheduled walk. The client is responsible for keeping it in a visible spot (e.g. kitchen counter or table) for their assigned pet care professional to fill out at each visit. In the event that the folder is lost or misplaced, a $3 fee will be charged to replace it.

Client Portal: All clients will receive a personalized client portal. The portal will be where clients can log in to request and cancel services, view upcoming and completed services, view and pay invoices and update personal and pet information, as needed.

Time Window for Visits: We require a two-hour window for all visit arrival times. For example, if you would like a visit at 12:00 p.m., our two hour window for arrival would be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Payment: We accept credit card and check payments only. We do not accept American Express or Discover cards. There is a $35 fee for returned checks for insufficient funds. Payments are due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.

Closings and Early Closings: Prance Around is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, we are open for visits until 6 p.m.

Holiday Fees: We charge an additional $10 per visit on certain holidays. These holidays include: Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter, Independence Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations for requested services must be submitted by made by 8 p.m. the night before the day of service. We allow two complimentary late cancellations per month, so long as your sitter is not already on their way to your home. If your sitter is on their way or has arrived to your home to complete the visit, you will be charged the full cost of the scheduled service. After two complimentary late cancellations have been used, the client is responsible for paying the full amount of the scheduled visit.
